We're always working to maintain and improve the SAVE Club courtyard. We also take care of the plants above the terminal. Members of SAVE, Science Honor Society, and National Honor Society can earn volunteer hours for gardening.

Small Sustainable Action
We are trying to make achieving sustainability as easy as possible. We will help you find a small, feasible change that you can implement long term. If you are interested, we'll send you monthly or biweekly reminders to work towards your goal. There are no penalties for forgetting your goal from time to time, and you do NOT need to spend any money (unless you so desire).

Recycling
We collect and crush cans from the cafeteria throughout the year and send them to be recycled. We also advocate for good recycling practices in EBHS.
SUPP (SINGLE USE PLASTIC PROJECT)
Max Frederick, a liaison from the high school to the East Brunswick Environmental Commission, has been working on a project to remove single use plastics (like styrofoam trays and plastic straws) from East Brunswick Public Schools and eventually, the entirety of the township. The single use plastics will be replaced with completely biodegradable alternatives!
We strive to achieve the overwhelming support of our community in order to make a difference (hint! hint! click the buttons below!).

Central Elementary School
In winter of 2020, we visited Central Elementary School and met with the 3rd graders. Through a variety of stations, the students learned about their carbon footprints, recycling, hydroponics, and more! This was done virtually in 2021 by sending the school a variety of videos to educate them on environmental problems and small scale solutions!
Project ORRCA
SAVE is partnering with Project ORRCA, a local organization developing a sustainable robotics system to remove water pollution and promote a cleaner world.
